Plant City is across the county line in Hillsborough County, about 15 miles south of Zephyrhills on SR 39, which crosses US 92 in the middle of town, with I-4 running along the north side and Tampa 23 miles west. It is the Winter Strawberry Capital of the World, home to the Florida Strawberry Festival every late winter, usually February or early March, and a town of about 39,800 people at the 2020 census.
