Zephyrhills Mobile RV Repair is an independently operated mobile RV service covering Zephyrhills and east Pasco County. Our techs handle the house side of RVs, roofs and sealant, rooftop ACs, slide-outs, plumbing and water heaters, refrigerators, furnaces, generators, fiberglass, and 12V electrical, at the rig, wherever it is parked.

Why we work this way

This corner of Florida has one of the densest concentrations of seasonal RV living in the state. The city roughly doubles in population from November through April, local park operators count more than 150 senior and RV parks in and around town, and the big resorts along US 301 and County Road 54 run to hundreds of sites apiece. The dealers that serve this market book out weeks in season, and most put the units they sold at the front of the line. Meanwhile, the rig that needs help is often physically committed to its lot: slides out, skirting on, a season of living set up around it.

Mobile repair is the answer to that mismatch, but the mobile-tech market has its own problems: no published prices, quotes that appear before anyone has metered anything, and vague claims about licenses and authorizations that do not hold up. We built the business around those three problems specifically.

Published prices. Around Zephyrhills our trip fee is $75 to $150. We charge $125 to $190/hr for labor with a one-hour floor, and parts and tax come on top. The usual repairs each carry a range on our pricing page, so you can read the numbers first and phone us second.

Diagnosis before quote. No number leaves our mouths until the meter and the inspection have had their say. A water heater that will not light gets its thermocouple and burner tube checked before anyone mentions replacement. When a rooftop unit just hums, we test the capacitor long before a new AC comes up. And the price is yours to approve before we lift a tool, on every single job.

Honesty about who we are. We are independent: no dealer franchise, no factory authorization. We cannot do manufacturer warranty work, and we say so up front. Got a part still under warranty? Ask its manufacturer first whether they reimburse independent work; a few do, most do not, and that answer belongs in hand before you spend a dollar. Engine, transmission, and chassis work is out of scope too; that belongs at a truck shop, and pretending otherwise wastes your trip fee.

Honesty about “licensed.” Florida’s motor vehicle repair law (Chapter 559, Part IX) requires shops, including mobile ones, to register with the Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, but it expressly excludes anyone who works only on the coach portion of a recreational vehicle. That is house-side RV repair. There is no Florida RV technician license to hold, so when an ad says “licensed,” it means a business tax receipt at most. The things that actually protect you are insurance, a written diagnosis, and a tech who names what he will not touch.

Who does the work

Most of our calls land on the usual systems: the same lap sealant, Suburban and Atwood water heaters, Dometic and Coleman rooftop units, Norcold and Dometic absorption fridges, Lippert slide mechanisms, and 12V converter setups found in nearly every rig in the parks. Our techs carry the parts that close most calls in one visit: fuses, sealant, capacitors, anode rods, water pumps, thermocouples. It is fair to ask us what is on hand before the visit.

Working inside the parks matters more than outsiders realize. The 55+ resorts have offices, visitor rules, and quiet hours. Include your park and lot number with the request; our tech checks in like any other visitor and times the work so your neighbors do not hear a drill at 7 a.m. In storage lots and driveways across Wesley Chapel, Land O’ Lakes, and Plant City, gate-access hours and HOA parking windows shape the visit the same way.

The seasonal reality

We will not manufacture urgency. Demand here is honestly lopsided: it surges from November through April when the winter residents are in, and thins out in summer when the parks empty. But summer is real work too: full-timers who live in the parks through the heat, roof resealing in the dry spring before the rains, AC failures on occupied rigs in July and August, post-storm inspections during hurricane season, and pre-season prep for owners flying back in November. If your job can wait for a better window, waiting is fine. If it cannot (water finding its way into a roof seam never waits), say so in the request.
