Zephyrhills Mobile RV Repair brings a mobile RV tech to your rig, at your park space, storage lot, or driveway, anywhere in Zephyrhills and east Pasco County. You pay a $75 to $150 trip fee and $125 to $190/hr for labor, we find the fault before we name a price, and nothing proceeds until you sign off on that price. No towing, no weeks-long dealer backlog, no breaking camp.

A fifth wheel with the slides out, skirting on, and a season’s worth of groceries in the fridge is not getting hitched up and hauled to a service bay. So we drive to it. That is the whole business.
What gets fixed on site
We work on the “house” systems, the ones that actually fail in a Florida climate:
- Roof repair and resealing: dig out failed lap sealant and reseal vents, skylights, and seams before the summer rain finds the gaps. In a place that gets its heaviest rain in July, this is the single most important preventive job on the rig.
- Rooftop AC repair: capacitors, fan motors, mold-fouled evaporator coils, clogged condensate drains, and full unit swaps. Humidity is as hard on these units as heat.
- Slide-out repair: motors, rack-and-gear systems, synchronization, and the seals and toppers that daily rain tests all summer. A dead slide is the classic “cannot move even if I wanted to” failure.
- Plumbing and water heaters: water pumps, valves, lines, fresh, gray, and black tank problems, and the water heater that will not light.
- Appliance repair: refrigerators, furnaces, converters, and 12V electrical, including the boards that a lightning surge takes out.
- Generator repair: Onan and portable units that will not start after a humid summer with fuel in the bowl.
- Fiberglass and delamination: gelcoat cracks, sidewall bubbles, and trim and seal work.
- General mobile repair: for the morning something on the rig is plainly off and you cannot tell what, we come out and track it down.
Not covered: engines, transmissions, brakes, or anything chassis. That is honest truck-shop territory. We stick to the systems we can test, meter, and fix at your site.
Why Zephyrhills is a mobile-repair town
Zephyrhills is a small city most of the year and a very different one in winter. The 2020 census counted about 17,000 residents, and local reporting puts the winter population at roughly double that from November through April, when the parks fill up. Local park operators count more than 150 senior and RV parks in and around the city. Palm View Gardens alone has more than 500 sites. Forest Lake Village has 274. Glen Haven has more than 215. Add Zephyr Palms, Zephyr Colony and The Oaks out on County Road 54, Grove Ridge and Travelers Rest up toward Dade City, and the long tail of smaller 55+ parks, and you have thousands of rigs parked within a few miles of each other, most occupied for the season, plenty of them year-round.
Every November the pattern repeats. Rigs roll in off a long tow from the north, or wake up after six months sitting on their lot through a Florida summer, and things do not work: batteries are flat, the water heater will not light, the AC blows a musty smell, a slide grinds halfway and stops. Dealer service departments book out weeks in season and most prioritize units they sold. A mobile tech who answers the phone and shows up in days, at your lot, with common parts on hand, wins that job every time. That gap is the reason we exist.
And the climate itself creates work year-round. Summers here are long, hot, and wet: August averages 90 degrees, July drops more than six inches of rain, and dew points sit in the high 60s and low 70s from May into November. That combination works on every seal, every coil, and every circuit board in the rig. Lap sealant that dries under the sun gets tested by an afternoon downpour the same day. Evaporator coils that never fully dry grow mold. And this stretch of Florida sits in what the lightning maps call Lightning Alley, the corridor between Tampa and Orlando; Florida led the country in 2025 at 305 lightning events per square mile, and a nearby strike is how a converter, an AC control board, or a fridge board dies with no warning. If you own an RV in Pasco County, moisture and weather are quietly working against every seal and component on it. Staying ahead of that is the real job.
How a service call works
1. You describe what is wrong and where the rig sits. Year, make, model, what is failing, and the location: park name and lot number, storage yard and row, or your home address. Gate codes, visitor policies, and quiet hours matter to us, so the more access detail, the smoother the visit.
2. The call-out gets scheduled. The trip fee ($75 to $150 in the local service area) covers travel and the first diagnostic window. Our techs carry the parts that fix many calls on the spot: fuses, sealant, capacitors, anode rods, water pumps, thermocouples.
3. Diagnosis comes before the quote. We test, meter, and inspect, with no guessing, no quoting a water heater replacement when the fix is a $30 thermocouple. Then we tell you plainly whether to fix or replace, with dollar figures on both, and we wait for your go-ahead.
4. The repair happens, or the part gets ordered. Most common failures are repaired the same visit. When a part has to be special-ordered, expect a wait: RV parts supply is genuinely slow and it can take days. We set the return date before we leave.
5. A function test with you watching. You watch the system work before we pack up, and you get a plain-language rundown of what was done and anything else we spotted up top. If you cannot climb your own roof anymore, a photo from up there is worth a lot, so ask us for one.

Service area
Zephyrhills is the center: the parks along US 301 and County Road 54, the neighborhoods off Fifth Avenue, and driveways all over town. From there we cover east and central Pasco County, plus the north edge of Hillsborough:
- Dade City: the county seat, about ten miles up US 301, with Grove Ridge on US 98 and Travelers Rest among the parks covered. About sixteen minutes from Zephyrhills.
- Wesley Chapel: the fastest-growing part of the county, reached on SR 54 or SR 56. Mostly driveway, HOA, and storage-lot work.
- San Antonio: the small hill town on Lake Jovita, off SR 52, along with Saint Leo and the rural lots around them.
- Land O’ Lakes and Lutz: the far west end of the area along SR 54 and US 41, priced honestly for the longer drive.
- Plant City: fifteen miles south on SR 39, across the line in Hillsborough County.
Straight answers, published prices
Two things set an honest mobile tech apart in this market, and we hold ourselves to both. The first is prices you can read before you pick up the phone: on our pricing page the trip fee is $75 to $150 and labor $125 to $190/hr, a roof reseal runs $500 to $1,200, an installed rooftop AC $1,200 to $2,500, slide-out repair $500 to $2,500, and a water heater replacement $700 to $1,800. For a rig that is parked for the season, that trip fee plus an honest hourly is the affordable path once you count what a dealer visit really costs: transport, weeks of backlog, and a torn-down campsite.
Second, honesty about what this is. We are an independent shop, not a dealer, not factory-authorized, and we will not imply otherwise. Still under a factory warranty? Ring the manufacturer before money changes hands, since plenty of them will not cover an independent repair and only a few will. And when a “dead” appliance needs a $30 part instead of a $900 replacement, you should hear that before anything else. Diagnosis before quote, your approval before work. That is the standard to hold any tech to, us included.
One more honest note, because the ads in this market use the word “licensed” loosely. Florida does not license RV technicians. The state’s motor vehicle repair law, Chapter 559 Part IX, specifically excludes businesses that work only on the coach portion of a recreational vehicle, which is exactly what a house-side mobile tech does. So “licensed” in an RV repair ad means a business tax receipt at most. What actually protects you is insurance, a written diagnosis before any quote, and a tech who tells you what he will not touch. Ask any tech for all three, and that includes us.
